The Dev and Beta Channels of Windows 11 have aligned, both presenting the 25H2 build. Users in the Dev Channel are encouraged to switch to Beta before further updates separate the two. Alongside this, Microsoft is expanding the Xbox Full Screen Experience to enhance gaming on Windows 11, offering a console-style interface and accessible through various methods. This feature will eventually be available to all Insiders.

Over recent months, the Dev and Beta Channels of Windows 11 have mirrored each other in functionality, now both showcasing the 25H2 build version. Users currently part of the Dev Channel who are considering a transition to the Beta Channel should consider making this switch promptly. This opportunity hinges on the fact that once both channels begin to diverge, with the Dev Channel moving to a higher build, the ability to switch will be discontinued.

Microsoft is set to introduce updates to both the Dev and Beta Channels, which will encompass new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. These updates will be rolled out gradually, and users can access the latest changes if they have opted in through the Windows Update settings. Additionally, some features will have a wider rollout for all users within the respective channels.

In a notable development for gamers, Microsoft has expanded the rollout of the Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE) to more Windows handheld devices and additional PCs running Windows 11. This new feature provides a console-like navigation interface, specifically designed to enhance the gaming experience when using a controller.

To access the Xbox Full Screen Experience, users can utilize Task View, adjust settings in the Game Bar, or simply press Win + F11. The gradual rollout of the Xbox FSE will benefit Windows Insiders in both the Dev and Beta Channels, particularly those who are also part of the Xbox Insiders community. Eventually, this feature will be made available to all Insiders, allowing broader access without needing to join the Xbox program. For those eager to experience new Windows 11 features ahead of general release, joining the Xbox Insiders Program could provide an early look at upcoming gaming enhancements on PC through the Xbox Insiders Hub.
