Google has launched exciting new features for the Gemini app, centered on the Gemini 3 Pro model, which improve response quality and user experience. Significant enhancements include a new magazine-style layout, dynamic views for custom responses, and the innovative Gemini Agent feature capable of completing multi-step tasks. Users can now organize emails, generate replies, and even book travel accommodations directly through the app, significantly streamlining processes for productivity. These features cater to various subscription tiers, enhancing accessibility for users.

Google has announced new features for the Gemini app, driven by the latest Gemini 3 Pro model. The enhancement focuses on improving user experience by providing responses that are more helpful, concisely formatted, and better structured. Among the significant improvements is the introduction of the ‘Labs’ concept, which allows Gemini to create a visually engaging, magazine-like layout for prompt responses that include photos and interactive modules. For instance, when planning trips, users can utilize sliders to set pacing and apply filters based on activity types.

Gemini 3 Pro is now accessible to all users, who can access it through the model picker by selecting the ‘Thinking’ option, enhancing their interaction with AI. Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers will benefit from expanded limits within the app. A dynamic view is also part of this update; it enables Gemini to design custom interactive responses tailored to each request, though initially, users may see limited experiments as Google collects feedback on them.

Another significant development is the introduction of Gemini Agent, which incorporates learnings from Project Mariner to perform multi-step tasks directly in the app. This feature utilizes the advanced reasoning capabilities of Gemini 3 along with live web browsing and multiple tools, such as Canvas, Deep Research, Gmail, and Google Calendar. Users will also be asked to confirm actions before executing tasks, ensuring control over critical operations like email sending or purchases, with the option to intervene at any time.

For example, users can select the ‘Agent’ from the Tools menu to organize their inbox. Gemini Agent can compile associated emails, allowing users to archive or mark them as read simply by tapping a checkmark. Additionally, the app can generate email replies and send them directly, streamlining communication.

Furthermore, Gemini can assist in travel arrangements, such as booking a rental vehicle by reviewing email details for flight information and budget constraints to prepare the reservation. This functionality is currently available to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the US, priced at $249.99 monthly. Overall, these new features aim to enhance productivity and provide a more interactive and user-friendly experience within the Gemini app.
