The email was received early in the morning, stating that explosives had been placed at the ministers' homes in Thillai Nagar and Anna Nagar. Immediate action involved dispatching bomb detection and disposal teams to the sites around 8:30 a.m. to investigate the credibility of the threat.

Police conducted thorough searches using advanced explosive detection technology, examining vehicles, kitchens, and the vicinity of the ministers’ residences.
