IIT Bombay has launched new Professional Certification Programmes in Cybersecurity and Software Development, featuring courses designed for industry relevance. The twelve-month online programmes include hands-on laboratory sessions to prepare participants for real-world scenarios. The new offerings include courses on Network Security and Full-Stack MERN Development aimed at enhancing participants' skills and professional prospects. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has introduced its second batch of Professional Certification Programmes focusing on Cybersecurity and Software Development, managed by the IITB Trust Lab within the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. These programmes aim to deliver industry-relevant education that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application. Each course is entirely online and spans twelve months, featuring three structured segments led by the institute's faculty. Weekly hands-on laboratory sessions aim to replicate real-world professional scenarios, thereby equipping participants with both theoretical insights and skills necessary for the workplace.

The new curriculum includes a fourteen-week course on Network Security, focusing on strategies to secure computer networks against modern cyber threats. Participants will engage in practical learning concerning defence strategies, secure protocols, and network hardening techniques. Additionally, the Software Development Programme offers a fourteen-week course in Full-Stack MERN Development with Apache and Nginx. This course is designed to empower learners to create secure and scalable web applications using contemporary frameworks and server setups.

IIT Bombay emphasizes that these carefully curated courses are aligned with current market demands and are intended to facilitate the professional advancement of participants.
