Oakley has recently introduced the Meta HSTN smart glasses, designed to enhance everyday tasks through advanced technology. These glasses promise up to eight hours of active use on a single charge, complemented by an impressive 19 hours of standby time. For extended use, a dedicated charging case is available, which provides an additional 48 hours of power.

The Meta HSTN is equipped with capabilities for high-quality 3K video recording, allowing users to capture moments with clarity. In addition, the glasses feature the Meta AI, providing real-time insights on demand, making them not just eyewear but a personal AI assistant too. Users can activate this hands-free assistant by simply saying "Hey Meta," which allows them to ask questions, document experiences, retrieve information, or seek help without breaking focus on their activities.

In a bid to enhance accessibility, Oakley has incorporated full Hindi language support via the Meta AI app. This feature enables users to communicate with the device, manage tasks, or record content entirely in Hindi, facilitated by the language tools of Sarvam. This inclusion is a significant step in making technology more inclusive for diverse linguistic audiences.

Another notable feature of the Meta HSTN is the introduction of the Celebrity AI Voice function. This feature allows users to interact with the device using the AI voice of renowned personalities, such as the English-language voice of actress Deepika Padukone. This effort aligns with the global trend of making interfaces more relatable and engaging through celebrity endorsements.

Additionally, Oakley is keen on integrating a payment functionality directly into the Meta HSTN. The upcoming UPI Lite transactions will enable users to effortlessly complete payments by simply looking at a QR code and saying, "Hey Meta, scan and pay." This feature connects to their bank accounts linked with WhatsApp, offering a seamless and secure transaction experience.

The Meta HSTN will be available in six frame and lens configurations, ensuring compatibility with prescription lenses. Customers will find a variety of styles to choose from, catering to individual preferences. Pre-orders are currently available through Sunglass Hut, with plans for broader availability at major eyewear and optical retailers nationwide. The starting price for these innovative smart glasses is set at Rs 41,800, making them a compelling option for technology enthusiasts and everyday users alike.
