In response to a recent high-intensity explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi, Indian airports, including major hubs, are now under heightened security measures. On November 12, the Delhi fire brigade received a call reporting a bomb at Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport, prompting immediate investigations by the authorities. The threat was later deemed a hoax by the city police.

The alert was raised after IndiGo Airlines reported bomb threats through its grievance portal. This prompted precautionary security checks at several locations, including Delhi, Chennai, and Goa. In addition, Air India confirmed that one of its flights to Varanasi received a security threat, leading to immediate protocols executed by the Government-appointed Bomb Threat Assessment Committee. The flight landed safely, and all passengers were disembarked while security checks were conducted before the aircraft could be used again.

Meanwhile, police in Delhi have activated all stations, outposts, and border checkpoints to search for a red Ford EcoSport, a vehicle possibly linked to suspects involved in the recent explosion. Investigators revealed that suspects in the Red Fort blast were also utilizing a previously identified Hyundai i20. To facilitate the investigation, Delhi police have deployed five teams to track down the red Ford EcoSport, which may provide essential evidence. Collaborating effort extends to police in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh as the suspects are believed to have moved across state lines.

Adding to the tense situation, a terror module identified as 'white collar' has been dismantled in Haryana, leading to the arrest of eight individuals, including three doctors. Approximately 2,900 kg of explosives were seized, linked to groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, which are active in regions including Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The Red Fort incident has led to the registration of a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and relevant explosive regulations by the Delhi police. Among those arrested, seven suspects are from Kashmir, reinforcing the geographical ties to regional security issues.
