Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader, critiques exit polls from the Bihar Assembly elections, suggesting they were influenced by external pressures. He highlights a significant voter turnout as a predictor of change in government. Yadav expresses mistrust in the media's reporting and warns against potential manipulation during vote counting. As the highest turnout since 1951 is recorded, he remains confident in his coalition's victory and emphasizes voter vigilance.

Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), recently voiced his concerns regarding the reliability of exit polls following the conclusion of the Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Yadav remarked that exit polls were released just as citizens were casting their votes. He accused the media of conducting these surveys under pressure and criticized what he termed the 'Godi Media' for previously making erroneous reports, including a false announcement of Bollywood actor Dharmendra's death.

Yadav underscored his skepticism by pointing out the lack of transparency regarding sample sizes in the exit polls. He further claimed that the results reflected the agenda of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, suggesting there was bias in the reporting. He claimed that a substantial increase in voter turnout—72 lakh more compared to the 2020 Assembly elections—indicates a desire for change among the electorate. Yadav stated that this surge in votes suggests that the current government, led by Nitish Kumar, is unlikely to continue.

Additionally, he recounted how previous exit polls had inaccurately predicted outcomes in states like Jharkhand and West Bengal, highlighting the discrepancies that emerged. In his remarks, Yadav also raised concerns about potential delays in vote counting, implying that there could be attempts to manipulate results by creating an atmosphere of fear through military presence in various districts. He declared confidence in his coalition, known as Mahagathbandhan, claiming they would achieve a significant victory, reinforcing that their supporters were vigilant and ready to monitor the counting process closely.

With a notable turnout of 67%, marking the highest participation rate in Bihar since 1951, Yadav expressed optimism for his party's future. He proclaimed that the collective voting shift signifies not just a rejection of the current leadership but an unmistakable demand for transformative leadership in Bihar. The RJD leader concluded by asserting that they would not face any hindrance during the counting phase, dismissing any notions of potential foul play as unfounded.
